After some much needed rest over the holidays, High Falls Tree Service gathered to do some training. We are always looking for ways to improve ourselves as people and as a company.
Over the course of a week in early January, we took care of some very important certifications. First, we took part in CPR training. This is something that every single person should know how to do. You never know when this invaluable skill will be needed. You may save a life!
We also took part in the Electrical Hazards Awareness Program(EHAP). As workers in the tree care industry, we have to deal with utility lines often. This is not something to be taken lightly. There are rules and procedures that we must follow to keep ourselves, our clients, and the general public safe.
The last part of our training involved using our bucket truck to perform an aerial rescue. Our climbers are generally the only ones who use the bucket. But, in that rare case that something happens to our climber while he is in the tree, we, as the ground workers, must be able to maneuver the bucket down and commence with rescue procedures. Here is a look at our aerial rescue training session:
Tree care in Rochester NY is a serious business and danger can present itself in a moment's notice. We must be ready to handle any situation quickly and clearly. Training like this is priceless.
